As the castle library is filled with salvaged treasures from the destruction of the House of Mystery, an overburdened Lucien finds himself near the breaking point as events force him to confront some mysteries from his own past.

Lucien begrudgingly allows Cain and his mysteries to move into his library but, when an argument between Cain and Merv causes damage to the books, Lucien casts them all out in a fit of rage. Lucien takes time alone to dream and reflect on his past and mistakes he feels he's made.
